Pennonia Gyermekláncfü Dandelion

Golden yellow fountain pen ink with orange shading from Pennonia, made in Hungary.

Many Pennonia inks are named after past experiences, moments and events from  childhood. In the case of Dandelion the ink brought back memories of Máté and his cousins playing on the village fields collecting dandelions in order to make “jewelry”. The Hungarian name for the plant is quite descriptive as it literally translates to “Children's chain grass”.

The stem of the dandelion is hollow so if you want, you can chain them together to create necklaces, earrings or other decorations. If you are skilled, like Máté's cousin, dandelion can also be used to make beautiful crowns too!

To top it all off, it’s also really fun to blow of the seeds after the flowers have bloomed!
